The company needed to find ways to take trucks off the road, calculate payroll more accurately, and increase face time at customer sites. Additionally, Glazer’s wanted to improve the efficiency of its Dallas-based retail merchandising team and ensure that merchandisers used their full paid time to service customers effectively.

The Solution
Glazer’s implemented the Omnitracs Roadnet® Transportation Suite to automate and optimize its route planning. The suite includes tools such as Roadnet, MobileCast, Merchandiser Module, FleetLoader, and Performance Dashboard. These tools helped Glazer’s gain efficiencies, improve productivity, and enhance customer focus. The Merchandiser Module, in particular, allowed Glazer’s to extend route planning advantages to its Dallas-based retail merchandising team, enabling better tracking of time spent and activities at each stop. MobileCast provided GPS-based tracking, increasing accountability and visibility for merchandisers. The Roadnet Performance Dashboard offered a big-picture view of operational activities and trends, helping managers make data-driven decisions to optimize routes and reduce costs. Glazer’s also planned to implement FleetLoader to optimize pallet and truck loading efficiency.

Moxa was asked to provide a connectivity solution for one of the world's leading cosmetics companies.
