The Challenge
A leading consumer electronics company in Taiwan, with over 20 years in business, was seeking a dynamic and efficient workflow solution to manage diverse processes ranging from consumer sales to ISO documentation and employee onboarding. The company, known for its innovative products such as early smartphones, dual-camera technologies, and virtual reality (VR) systems, needed a workflow solution that could match its agility and innovation. The company was already using SharePoint for document management but found the workflow solution provided by SharePoint Designer to be slow and not user-friendly for non-technical employees. This resulted in a reliance on technical staff to create business workflows, which slowed down business managers who wanted to respond to new business needs rather than learning complex software tools.
About The Customer
The customer is a leading consumer electronics company based in Taiwan. With over 20 years in business, the company has been at the forefront of consumer electronics, introducing advances such as the early smartphones, dual-camera innovations, and more recently, a popular virtual reality (VR) system. The VR system is used for a variety of applications, from consumer gaming to enterprise training. The company is known for its agility and continuous technological innovation, which has been key to its market success. The company's processes, from research and development to sales and marketing activities, are designed to be as nimble as possible.
The Solution
The company adopted Nintex for SharePoint and Office 365 as the basis for approval, booking, and change processes. Nintex provided a faster, more productive workflow solution that was user-friendly for non-technical employees. The company used Nintex to create up to 70 workflows, including document approvals and updates, for the company’s enterprise Document Center. This center handles approvals, changes, and other workflows for documents related to research & development, ISO, compliance, and more. The use of Nintex saved the company two months of development time over the schedule originally envisioned for the document center’s development. The company also used Nintex workflows to expedite and ensure the accuracy of its marketing and sales activities, including the process by which third-party vendors bid for its contracts, and in employee onboarding and engagement.

Improving Production Line Efficiency with Ethernet Micro RTU Controller
Moxa was asked to provide a connectivity solution for one of the world's leading cosmetics companies. This multinational corporation, with retail presence in 130 countries, 23 global braches, and over 66,000 employees, sought to improve the efficiency of their production process by migrating from manual monitoring to an automatic productivity monitoring system. The production line was being monitored by ABB Real-TPI, a factory information system that offers data collection and analysis to improve plant efficiency. Due to software limitations, the customer needed an OPC server and a corresponding I/O solution to collect data from additional sensor devices for the Real-TPI system. The goal is to enable the factory information system to more thoroughly collect data from every corner of the production line. This will improve its ability to measure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and translate into increased production efficiencies. System Requirements • Instant status updates while still consuming minimal bandwidth to relieve strain on limited factory networks • Interoperable with ABB Real-TPI • Small form factor appropriate for deployment where space is scarce • Remote software management and configuration to simplify operations

How Sirqul’s IoT Platform is Crafting Carrefour’s New In-Store Experiences
Carrefour Taiwan’s goal is to be completely digital by end of 2018. Out-dated manual methods for analysis and assumptions limited Carrefour’s ability to change the customer experience and were void of real-time decision-making capabilities. Rather than relying solely on sales data, assumptions, and disparate systems, Carrefour Taiwan’s CEO led an initiative to find a connected IoT solution that could give the team the ability to make real-time changes and more informed decisions. Prior to implementing, Carrefour struggled to address their conversion rates and did not have the proper insights into the customer decision-making process nor how to make an immediate impact without losing customer confidence.
