The Challenge
TrustNet faced a significant challenge in finding a compliance solution that could be deployed quickly and efficiently. They had previously implemented a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, but it proved to be too expensive and difficult to maintain. This created a pressing need for a more cost-effective and user-friendly solution that could still meet their stringent requirements for threat detection, incident response, and regulatory compliance. The complexity and high costs associated with their existing SIEM system were not sustainable, prompting TrustNet to seek an alternative that could offer a unified security solution without compromising on performance or compliance standards.
About The Customer

Their offerings include software-as-a-service, compliance, security services, and awareness training. As a PCI Qualified Security Assessor, TrustNet provides compliance assessments and security services for various standards such as PCI, HIPAA, FISMA, SOX, and SOC/SSAE16. Since its inception in 2003, TrustNet has been a strategic partner for mid-size and large organizations, both public and private, across multiple industries in the United States and globally. Their mission is to ensure the security and integrity of their clients' businesses through comprehensive and reliable security solutions.
The Solution
To address their challenges, TrustNet opted for the AlienVault Unified Security Management (USM) platform. This decision was driven by several key factors, including the platform's capabilities in threat detection, incident response, and policy or regulatory compliance. The AlienVault USM platform offered a unified security solution that was not only easy to use but also affordable, making it an ideal choice for TrustNet. The platform's comprehensive features allowed TrustNet to deploy it quickly, overcoming the limitations they faced with their previous SIEM system. Mike Kerem, a key decision-maker at TrustNet, highlighted the platform's ease of use and affordability as significant advantages, enabling them to maintain high security standards without incurring prohibitive costs.

Big risks requires big data thinking: helping clients target and prevent fraud
EY's clients are increasingly seeking growth in markets with higher perceived levels of fraud, bribery, and corruption risk. Regulators and law enforcement bodies are intensifying their activities, leading to significant corporate investment in employee training, policy development, and internal audit procedures designed to raise awareness of anti-fraud or anti-corruption policies. Many companies have also increased the use of more sophisticated, proactive uses of forensic data analytics (FDA) capabilities designed to prevent and detect areas of fraud, waste, and abuse. However, traditional rules-based tests and spreadsheet tools are not effective in managing these risks. EY needed a solution that could help them get ahead of the curve and squash potential threats before they escalate.

Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA optimizes external financial reporting
Fresenius Medical Care wanted to optimize its reporting process, particularly in light of the increased demands made by regulatory authorities on external financial reporting. The preparation of financial reports in accordance with international accounting standards (IFRS and US-GAAP [Generally Accepted Account Principles]) as well as in different currencies (Euro and US dollars) is a very complex and expensive process. The legal importance and reputational value of these standardized quarterly and annual reports for listed companies require the financial reports to be of a consistently high quality. However, the requirements for the structure and content of these reports are constantly increasing, while the submission deadlines get tighter.
