The Baker McMillen Company, a manufacturer of fine wood turnings, has been in operation since 1874. They supply major national retailers with precision wood products such as tool handles, architectural millwork, and furniture components. Despite their long history and expertise in wood manufacturing, the company faced a modern challenge in the form of a cybersecurity threat. With a small IT department, they were ill-equipped to handle the sophisticated ransomware attack that disrupted their operations.
The Solution
The IT Manager at Baker McMillen turned to Binary Defense for help. They implemented the Binary Defense Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution, which required no additional costly hardware or resource-intensive software. The nano agents were installed on all desktops, laptops, and servers the same day. This new layer of security allowed the company to resume operations in under 24 hours.
