They provide a wide range of services including full logistics, warehousing, international and national distribution, fresh-products logistics, automotive industry forwarding, and sea and air freight transport. The company operates in multiple countries including the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine. With over 9,500 employees, 1,150,000 square meters of warehousing space, and approximately 6,000 means of transport, Raben Group is a significant player in the logistics industry.
The Solution
Raben Group chose e2open's transportation management solution to handle their logistics operations. The solution provided multi-country, multi-language, multi-currency, and multiple time zone support, along with comprehensive functionality for managing networks and hubs. It offered real-time visibility for goods and items throughout the entire network and allowed for phased implementation by business unit to minimize disruption. The centralized transportation management system (TMS) integrated all business units, replacing previously disconnected systems. The toolset helped manage and control logistics variables, optimize stock put-away, and utilize transport capacity. Integration with RFID facilitated document preparation and freight labeling, ensuring each consignment had a unique bar code for scanning at each delivery stage.
