Groupe Renault adopts Modular Open Source Electric Car Platform to create new EV

Groupe Renault acknowledged that international growth is lacking and could only develop through a strengthening of Alliance technologies, scale effects and internal assets. Electrical vehicular quality also had to be improved - if not, new collaborations are needed so that  equipment compactness and integrity may be accentuated and the range of light commercial vehicles expanded.

  • Renault has partnered with OSVehicle to create POM, a new electric vehicle (EV) whose adaptability and distributability makes it highly covetable. Software design modifications and high-performance driving tools may be incorporated into the vehicle, which itself is a twist on Renault’s popular Twizy model. The new vehicle hopes to reinvigorate innovation in the development of vehicles that satisfy 21st century mobility trends and exigencies across various demographics.
