The Challenge
Nanso, one of Finland's leading fashion companies, was facing challenges in meeting new delivery requirements from leading fashion retailers. The company was dealing with many manual routines that resulted in low productivity and quality issues. Additionally, Nanso was operating several different ERP systems, which further complicated their operations. The need for a more efficient and streamlined system was evident to improve their supply chain operations.
About The Customer
Nanso is one of Finland's leading fashion companies, founded in 1921. The company produces approximately 3.9 million garments, 9 million pairs of stockings, and 3 million pairs of socks annually. In 2007, Nanso Group launched a new logistics center in Hämeenlinna, which is the Nordic's largest and most modern logistics unit for fashion products. The company is Finland's second-largest fashion company, with its head office and main production facility located in Nokia, Finland. Nanso also operates manufacturing sites in Tornio, Finland, and Tallin, Estonia. The company generates a revenue of 70 million Euros and employs 650 people.
The Solution
To address the challenges, Nanso implemented Aptean's modern IMI Warehouse Management system in their new logistics center. This solution was designed to streamline their operations and improve productivity. The Warehouse Management System (WMS) provided real-time control of the entire flow of goods, which significantly improved their supply chain operations. The system also offered increased flexibility, allowing Nanso to adapt to changes such as growing demand and customer requirements more efficiently.
Operational Impact
  • Shorter lead times (throughput) with reduced staffing
  • Real-time control of the entire flow of goods
  • Increased flexibility to adapt to changes such as growing demand and customer requirements
