Dan Berlenbach is the Fleet Services Manager for the City of Long Beach, California. Berlenbach was named the Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year at the 2019 Government Fleet Expo (GFX) in New Orleans, LA. As the fleet services manager, Berlenbach is responsible for all things related to capturing, compiling, and making usable data from various streams that come from servicing the fleet, fueling it, and operators driving it. The City of Long Beach's fleet is large and extensively data-driven.
The Solution
Berlenbach uses AssetWorks FleetFocus fleet management software to review reports and data points generated from the system. The City of Long Beach uses FleetFocus with virtually all modules, EquipmentFocus, FuelFocus with Driver Behavior, SmartApps, and extensive Crystal reporting and dashboards. Buoy Status Monitoring with LoRa
The Netherlands are well-known for their inland waterways, canals, sluices and of course port activities. The Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure indicates that there are thousands of buoys and fixed items in and near water environments that would profit from IoT monitoring.
