Del Monte Foods, one of the largest consumer food and pet products companies in the U.S., was facing challenges with its on-premises corporate ERP. The system was not only costly, but it was also increasingly difficult to deploy to new lines of business, and was nearing the end of its support life. The company needed a new ERP system that could easily adapt to their growing business needs and reduce costs. The acquisition of Natural Balance Pet Foods presented the perfect opportunity for Del Monte to begin the rollout of a new ERP system.

Del Monte Foods is one of the largest consumer food and pet products companies in the U.S. The company's products are found in eight out of ten U.S. households. With a portfolio that includes iconic brands such as Del Monte®, Contadina®, Milk-Bone®, and Kibbles ‘n Bits®, the company has significantly expanded its market share. In fiscal 2013, Del Monte Foods reported more than $3.8 billion in net sales. The company recently acquired Natural Balance Pet Foods, a leading producer of premium pet foods, further expanding its brand portfolio.
The Solution
Del Monte Foods chose the Kenandy ERP cloud system for its flexibility and enterprise-class capabilities. Built on the Salesforce Platform, Kenandy ERP provides flexibility and extensibility, and is extremely fast to deploy. The system was up and running at Natural Balance just 90 minutes after the acquisition was complete. Kenandy's Professional Services team was credited for enabling the successful transition. The new ERP system allows Del Monte to easily add capabilities and adapt the system to their clients’ needs, keeping costs down while providing excellent customer service.
