The customer is a healthcare company that provides industry-leading services to thousands of customers, including hundreds of hospitals, medical facilities, and doctors’ offices throughout North America. The company was not satisfied with its existing Wi-Fi infrastructure and was looking for a solution that could support high bandwidth, low latency, and secure transactions. They also wanted a network that was prepared to handle the future workload of proactive patient monitoring, remote diagnostics with Artificial Intelligence (AI), and AR/VR (Augmented/Virtual Reality) based training. To meet these needs, they worked with a vendor who purchased a CBRS PAL (Citizens Broadband Radio Services Priority Access License) to set up a private 5G network within their healthcare facilities.
The Solution

Hospital Inventory Management
The hospital supply chain team is responsible for ensuring that the right medical supplies are readily available to clinicians when and where needed, and to do so in the most efficient manner possible. However, many of the systems and processes in use at the cancer center for supply chain management were not best suited to support these goals.
