Henny Penny, a global manufacturing organization, faced the challenge of protecting its network perimeter from malware, phishing, and malicious attacks. The company needed to simplify its management complexity and maintain business continuity, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. With 900 employees working in various locations, including the office, from home, and in the field at customer locations, the company's small IT staff required next-generation protection that offered deep visibility and agility on a user-friendly interface. The challenge was to secure not only its data center but also its mobile employees in the field.

Henny Penny is a manufacturing company that designs, develops, and manufactures premium food service equipment known for reliability, ease of use, and low operating costs. For over 60 years, the company has served many of the world's most demanding kitchens. Headquartered in Eaton, Ohio, Henny Penny offers a rich portfolio of products along with start-up, service, training, and technical support through its global distribution network. The company's 900 employees work in various locations, using a variety of endpoint devices. Henny Penny relies heavily on its network infrastructure to power its most important supply chain operations and keep its employees productive.
The Solution
To address these challenges, Henny Penny deployed Check Point Next Generation Security Gateways at four sites in the U.S. and China. These gateways integrated the most advanced threat prevention and consolidated management, designed to prevent any cyber-attack, reduce complexity, and control costs. The company enabled the integrated security features available in Check Point Next-Gen Firewalls, including Mobile Access, Anti-Bot, Anti-Malware, Application Control, and URL Filtering. To protect its mobile employees, Henny Penny used Check Point Mobile Access, allowing them to securely connect to corporate applications over the Internet with a smartphone, PC, or tablet. Check Point Anti-Malware in the Check Point NGFW efficiently detected and removed malware from endpoints with a single scan.
