King & Prince Seafood, a subsidiary of Nissui, has been in business for over 90 years and specializes in manufacturing breaded, battered, and seasoned seafood products such as fish, shrimp, calamari, and crab. As part of the second-largest seafood company in the world, King & Prince sources raw materials through a vast global network. The company operates three U.S. plants and is committed to ensuring the highest quality of sustainable seafood. With a focus on maintaining high standards, King & Prince leverages advanced quality management systems to oversee their supply chain and production processes, ensuring consistent and high-quality products for their customers.
The Solution
King & Prince Seafood implemented InfinityQS SPC software across all three of their U.S. plants, covering more than 100 processes. This software provided total visibility into their quality data, enabling them to quickly spot trouble areas and work closely with suppliers to correct issues before raw materials were shipped to the U.S. The real-time data visibility allowed King & Prince to manage their inputs in the country of origin, reducing variation and focusing on value-added processes in the U.S. The digital transformation enabled King & Prince to view quality data from all points of origin in one centralized database, making it easier to analyze and make smart business decisions. The company also mandated that global suppliers use InfinityQS software, ensuring standardized data entry and consistent quality management across the supply chain.
