Paddy Power Betfair (PPB), a leading international sports betting and gaming operator, was looking for innovative ways to optimize their mix of technology, products, creative marketing, and sporting partnerships. They wanted to engage their customers in a more effective and relevant way. They were particularly interested in reaching customers who only use mobile web and desktop, and not yet active in their app. The challenge was to find a solution that could deliver web push notifications to engage these users.

Paddy Power Betfair (PPB) is a leading international sports betting and gaming operator formed in 2016. It is a FTSE 100 company divided into four operating divisions; Online, Australia, Retail, and the US. PPB operates five main sports betting and gaming brands, serving over six million customers worldwide. The company employs over 7000 people and prides itself on operating a responsible and sustainable business that contributes positively to the communities in which it operates.
The Solution
PPB chose Xtremepush as their solution for delivering web push notifications. They first implemented Web Push Notifications across their Betfair website to drive onsite engagement across their mobile and web desktop. This new channel allowed PPB to reach customers who only use mobile web and desktop, and not yet active in their app. After going live with Web Push, PPB began to introduce rich web messaging to their campaigns. Rich messaging includes adding images and CTA buttons to the message and can provide more engagement options to the user. Xtremepush enabled PPB to utilise intelligent rich messaging functionality and market-leading functionality with sophisticated APIs.
