The Solution
To address these challenges, Pritchard-Blunt turned to the Avid MediaCentral platform and Avid Artist Suite solutions. He used the Avid Sibelius music notation and scoring software, a key component of the Avid Artist Suite, to create, print, and distribute professional scores. Pritchard-Blunt has relied on Sibelius since 2001 for all his arrangement work, appreciating its time-saving composition features, easy file-sharing abilities, sophisticated layout, and excellent responsiveness. The software allowed him to 'proof listen' and proofread his work, ensuring accuracy and quality. Sibelius also facilitated easy editing and file sharing, which was crucial for the fast-paced environment of live television. The software's ability to open and edit files across different operating systems and versions was particularly beneficial. Pritchard-Blunt also used Avid Scorch, which transformed the iPad into an interactive music stand, score library, and sheet music store, further enhancing his workflow.

It is therefore critical for the manufacturing process to check all components are the correct type and number for the construction of the pump to begin. Once built it is difficult and costly to rework such units if a fault is detected later in the manufacturing process, therefore automated visual inspection is critical for the success in building quality motors and pumps.
