The Challenge
MéO, a leading manufacturer of custom-made, decorative, accessible, and efficient wood-aluminum joinery, was facing challenges with its ERP maintenance. Over time, the ERP system had become complex with interfaces to many systems and a wide range of corporate information stored in it. This complexity made the maintenance of the ERP system cumbersome. In addition to this, MéO was looking to modernize its production tools and equip its manufacturing workshops with the right management tools to improve performance. The company needed a solution that could simplify its ERP setup and provide real-time insights to enhance its production efficiency.
About The Customer
MéO is a pioneer in the wood-aluminum concept, having invented and patented a new concept of windows and sliding bays. The company offers a wide range of entrance doors and wood-aluminum canopies and verandas. MéO is part of the LIEBOT Group, which was founded in 1745 and has since become France’s top manufacturer of windows and façades and one of the leading players in Europe. Over the years, the group has consistently evolved, innovated, and invested in its operations.
The Solution
MéO found its solution in Magic Software's FactoryEye, a product that combines integration experience with intelligent production data processing, cross-organizational data contextualization, cloud storage, and advanced analytics. Impressed by FactoryEye's ability to integrate and orchestrate flows while offering flexibility and improved data visibility, MéO decided to implement it. The company mapped all existing flows within its many applications and transferred its technical and customer data to dedicated systems. Workshops were set up to integrate their flows via Magic’s integration module and internal training sessions were organized to enable the IT teams to become proficient with the Magic solution. The implementation of the Magic Software FactoryEye MES module was the second stage of the project. MéO has since continued to develop the platform, organizing weekly technical committees to supervise the manufacturing workshops and ensure productivity improvement.
Operational Impact
  • The implementation of Magic Software’s solutions has significantly improved MéO's control over its flows and provided real-time information that is crucial for optimizing production lines and improving performance. The company has also seen an improvement in collaborative efficiency and plans to use a single portal for all the group’s entities. The successful IT projects carried out by the LIEBOT Group over the last 3 years highlight the importance of good control of data, both that of the IT systems and operations. With monitoring and decision-making tools, factory management has been improved, leading to greater efficiency.
Quantitative Benefit
  • Implementation of Magic Software’s solutions across all production sites, with around thirty machines.
  • Weekly technical committees organized to supervise the manufacturing workshops and ensure productivity improvement.
