Kelly Roofing, a premier roofing company in Florida, was facing challenges in managing its field operations. The company promises “Beauty & Life Time Warranty” to its customers who need roof repair or replacement. However, the roofing industry accounts for 11 million tons of waste in the US each year. To reduce this waste, Kelly Roofing's field installers needed to perform an outstanding job in the field. The company aimed to provide its crews with a modern and intuitive system that would allow them to create work orders directly where the roof service takes place. The company was clearly lacking a solution that would let them create, complete, and edit the work orders whilst in the field. Hence, a mobile CRM turned out as the most ideal option to consider.

Kelly Roofing is a family-owned business that has grown to become one of the largest roofing contractors in Florida and is now among America’s Top 100 Roofing Contractors. The company provides roof repair and roof replacement services all over Florida, from Fort Myers to Naples. Kelly Roofing combines old world building principles, cutting-edge technology, and continuing education to deliver the highest quality roofing systems on the market. The company's services, which have been offered for more than 30 years, include roof repair/restoration & replacement for tile, flat, shingle, and metal roofs. In addition to these, the company also offers the installation of gutters, insulation, and skylights.
The Solution
Kelly Roofing implemented FieldOne Sky, a mobile solution for field workers based on Resco Mobile CRM technology. The solution was rolled out for all 18 crews who are now running it on Windows Lumia Phones. FieldOne Sky is a set of Resco’s field service management features, including work order management, asset management, maintenance agreement tracking, inventory and procurement management, workflow capabilities, mobile collaboration, and other custom entities. To get the full usages of a mobile platform in the field, Kelly Roofing also used Resco’s customization tool, Woodford. Woodford enabled the indication of any additional fields to be added or fields that are unnecessary from the company’s perspective. The customers quickly learned to understand when the change is being made, and once published, see that replicated on their mobile device immediately.
