Perry Community School District is located in the City of Perry, Iowa, one of the oldest Midwest cities in the United States, established in 1869. The city is approximately 25 miles northwest of Des Moines and has a population of nearly 8,000 residents, according to the last U.S. Census. The school district serves more than 1,800 students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The district's IT staff is responsible for maintaining the security of the IT infrastructure, which includes desktops, laptops, and mobile devices used by students and faculty to access school curriculums and emails. The district needed a reliable and cost-effective security solution to protect against malware and spyware.

The Solution

Perry Community School District selected Comodo Endpoint Security Manager (ESM) after a competitive review process of major vendors. Comodo's business and enterprise support team assisted Perry's IT department with the full rollout of ESM, ensuring deployment and configuration best practices were followed. The support team also demonstrated how ESM could be used as a system management tool to monitor computers and servers, and as a remote screen-sharing tool to assist users without leaving the IT Operations desks.
