The Solution
To address these challenges, Generations Unlimited implemented Ecolane's DRT scheduling and dispatching software, which features real-time continuous optimization. This software helps in maintaining high on-time performance (OTP) by keeping trips moving based on driver performance. They also adopted Ecolane Touch Screen MDT software for real-time arrival and departure information, along with electronic signature capture and pre and post-trip inspection modules on MDT. Additionally, they integrated GTFS for public transportation and utilized the advanced Ecolane Reporting System with ad-hoc reporting tools. To enhance customer experience, they introduced a rider-facing online self-service portal and Ecolane Mobile for trip booking. They also integrated Alexa for trip booking and used SMS text messaging to announce vehicle arrivals. An interactive voice response interface was implemented for call notifications, and a rider feedback module was added to gather customer insights.
