As cybersecurity threats have increased in volume and variety, Virtual Vision (V2), a cloud and managed service provider in Saudi Arabia, sought to provide customers with a unified endpoint security solution that addressed a broad range of requirements. In addition, V2’s existing endpoint security solutions were complex to use, as well as consumed significant compute resources, causing workstations and servers to run more slowly. After evaluating and testing several endpoint security solutions, V2 added Bitdefender GravityZone Cloud MSP Security to its offerings.

Founded in 2006, Virtual Vision (V2) is a managed service provider offering highly secure, reliable, and flexible public cloud (V2 Cloud) services, such as platform as a service, infrastructure as a service and other applications. Serving enterprise customers in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, V2 is a tier-one provider of Microsoft solutions via a Microsoft Azure cloud. In addition to delivering services via the V2 Cloud, V2 provides IT services and solutions on premises at customer sites.

V2 uses Bitdefender GravityZone Cloud MSP Security to protect approximately 300 workstations and servers running Linux, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware ESXi, and VMware vSphere. Bitdefender-protected endpoints also reside in the V2 public cloud and Microsoft Azure. The MSP’s customer applications that are protected by Bitdefender include Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and others. Bitdefender GravityZone Cloud MSP Security provides V2’s clients with extensive hardening, prevention, and detection layers, along with tunable machine learning, advanced anti-exploit, content and device control, email security, and cloud sandboxing. For customers requiring additional protection, V2 provides Bitdefender Advanced Threat Security, Bitdefender Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), GravityZone Full Disk Encryption, and GravityZone Patch Management.

• Since installing Bitdefender two years ago, V2 has not received any reports of breaches or ransomware intrusions from customers.
• V2 also credits GravityZone with enabling faster endpoint performance. Alternative security solutions used by the V2 team consume 70 percent of CPU resources on average compared to GravityZone’s utilization rate of 35 percent—a 50 percent improvement.
