Walmart, the multinational retail corporation, has aggressive targets to fulfil their hiring needs. With hypermarket chains and department stores in multiple continents, the company has a local approach when it comes to hiring, with Talent Acquisition teams for each of their regions. In Central America, Walmart has to fill positions for 1,800 stores, in four distinct verticals: sales, corporate, agriculture and distribution. To ease up manual processing, Walmart has rapidly become a regional innovator with their automated process powered by Talkpush. By relying on automated campaigns, the retailer has seen an increase in completion rates from 75% to 92% as well as 50% decrease in processing time per candidate.

The company has a significant presence in Central America, where it operates 1,800 stores across four verticals: sales, corporate, agriculture, and distribution. Walmart's Talent Acquisition team in Central America is responsible for fulfilling the company's aggressive hiring targets. The team has implemented innovative automated processes to streamline hiring and improve efficiency. The Solution
To plan and execute a simple, fast candidate journey, Walmart relies on Talkpush’s drag and drop workflow tool — allowing their recruiters to design the appropriate journey for each campaign. The process is centralized in Central America, using a single system for each of the 5 countries in the region, and four job campaigns to represent each of their hiring verticals. When candidates initiate an application, the digital recruitment assistant (chatbot) asks a few questions to determine which location and position the candidate will be placed in. Inside the Talkpush CRM this is an automatic process, where recruiters can easily go to each folder and see the list of candidates where they belong. Part of the process includes an assessment — added through a simple integration — Walmart can automatically send out their Vervoe assessment to pre-screened candidates, and check on their scores on the candidate profile in the Talkpush CRM.

As of 2014, AK-Centralen has over 1,500 Danish supermarkets equipped, and utilizes 16 operators, and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. AK-Centralen needed the ability to monitor the cooling alarms from around the country, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Each and every time the door to a milk cooler or a freezer does not close properly, an alarm goes off on a computer screen in a control building in southwestern Odense. This type of alarm will go off approximately 140,000 times per year, equating to roughly 400 alarms in a 24-hour period. Should an alarm go off, then there is only a limited amount of time to act before dairy products or frozen pizza must be disposed of, and this type of waste can quickly start to cost a supermarket a great deal of money.

Supermarket Energy Savings
The client had previously deployed a one-meter-per-store monitoring program. Given the manner in which energy consumption changes with external temperature, hour of the day, day of week and month of year, a single meter solution lacked the ability to detect the difference between a true problem and a changing store environment. Most importantly, a single meter solution could never identify root cause of energy consumption changes. This approach never reduced the number of truck-rolls or man-hours required to find and resolve issues.
