AdhereTech has created patented smart pill bottles that increase medication adherence. These bottles measure the exact number of pills or liquid in the bottle in real-time, wirelessly send this HIPAA-compliant data into the cloud, and remind patients to take their medication via phone call or text. The devices solicit feedback in order to combat all drivers of non-adherence, and they are built with an open API, which facilitates partnerships and fosters integration with other adherence solutions. In addition to increasing adherence, the bottles record and send granular data that, until now, has only been collected in trials - never before in the real world.
