Startup Audits, a one-person operation, was facing a significant challenge in managing its client onboarding process. The founder, Bram Kanstein, was spending a considerable amount of time on manual tasks such as creating documents, folders, and spreadsheets, and writing individual emails for each new client. This repetitive work was not only time-consuming but also hindered the productivity of the business. The need for a more efficient client onboarding process was evident, as the existing process was bogging down the operations and preventing Bram from focusing on the core aspects of his business.
Startup Audits is a one-person operation that offers an unbiased, no-nonsense look at startups, aiming to guide them to their next step. The business is run by Bram Kanstein, who is the founder and auditor. Bram was spending a significant amount of his time on manual tasks related to client onboarding, which was affecting his productivity and the overall efficiency of his business. He needed a solution that could automate these tasks, allowing him to focus more on his clients and their startups.
To address this challenge, Bram turned to Zapier, an app automation tool. This tool allowed him to automate the entire client onboarding process, thereby significantly enhancing his productivity. With a multi-step Zap, a workflow connecting multiple apps, Bram was able to condense his onboarding process, making it instantaneous. When a client purchases one of Startup Audit’s products, it triggers Bram's multi-step Zap. This Zap creates a folder in Google Drive for the client, generates a Google Doc questionnaire, sends out a welcome email to the client through Gmail, adds a row to Google Sheets logging the client's requests and the price paid, and creates a card in Trello to manage the work. The Zap also sends an email to Bram, notifying him of the new client.
