The Challenge
CASE, an international non-profit organization with offices in Washington, D.C., London, Singapore, and Mexico City, was facing challenges with its existing financial data management system. The organization was using Microsoft Dynamics SL (formerly Solomon) and QuickBooks, which were proving to be inefficient and difficult to manage on an international scale. The organization was considering sticking with Dynamics SL, or switching to SAP or Intaact. However, SAP was quickly ruled out due to cost, and Dynamics SL was deemed difficult to manage internationally. Intaact was also not a viable option as it was very similar to Solomon and did not offer the flexibility CASE was looking for.

CASE, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, is an international non-profit organization with about 100 employees at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. and offices in London, Singapore, and Mexico City. Its operating revenues exceed $20 million. With membership including more than 3,600 education-related institutions in 76 countries, CASE offers professional development, training, networking, and other resources for nearly 70,000 communications, alumni relations, marketing, and fundraising staff, as well as leaders of the member institutions.
The Solution
CASE decided to switch to Acumatica after receiving a recommendation and conducting due diligence. The organization was attracted by the flexibility of the financing and Acumatica’s unlimited user licensing model. The Financial Suite met their initial needs and they decided to add Fixed Assets later. CASE’s Information Systems Director appreciated the opportunity to have a single platform to manage all of their international regional offices, and the ability to eliminate all the third-party software those offices were using. Another reason to choose Acumatica was the ongoing support, which was crucial for CASE as they needed 24/7 support due to their global operations.
