The Challenge

In a smart environment of management, control and industrial automation, one of the key elements to anticipate failures and increase productivity is to be able to monitor the status and use of conveyor belts of any kind of sector, whether it is for logistics or manufacturing.

About The Customer

It's one of the Conveyer system OEM

The Solution

Thanks to the data obtained, the behavior of the belts can be studied (dilatation, deterioration, irregular advance…) thus creating patterns that allow to detect failures in the process. This way, it is possible to optimize the maintenance of the conveyor belts, increasing productivity and reducing the problems arising from the wear and tear of the machines.

Device: Webdyn - MTX-IoT, 4G IoT programable modem

Platform: Any IoT Platform

Data Collected
Accuracy, Asset Performance, Condition Based Monitoring, Existing machinery sensor data
Operational Impact
  • [Efficiency Improvement - Management]

With the regular data being collected from the sensors any abnormality in function of the conveyor can be traced in real time & the timely alarms are pushed onto the IoT Platform for the incharge to take immidieate maintainence action to correct the abnormality observed. This way a breakdown & the downtime caused by breakdown can be avoided. This results in Improved efficiency.

  • [Product Improvement - Brand Image]

As per the data collected from various sensors placed across the conveyor (Proximity, Temperature etc.) the overall product life can be enhanced.
