About The Customer
The client is a service provider in the information technology industry. Their services include design and management of social media programs, development of digital engagement strategy, and strategic consultation on international security. They have a wide network of experts and researchers and aim to offer analyses and visualizations of social media data to help companies make informed decisions. Their goal is to provide their customers with actionable data that can guide their marketing strategies and business decisions.
The Solution
A custom solution was developed that provides big data visualization of data from social media. The application leverages agile technologies to visualize, analyze, and generate market trend reports. It features enhanced visualization with D3, including force-directed graphs and tree circulant graphs. It also provides real-time tweets in map view, an interactive live graph highlighting retweets and shares, and map visualization that highlights region-specific information on positive and negative tweets. The application is scalable with an increasing dataset and easily integrates with other JS libraries such as D3, Leaflet, and jQuery. The solution significantly improved application speed and provided a rich and aesthetically designed user interface with enhanced visualization.

IIC Industrial Digital Thread (IDT) Testbed
Field engineers and service teams often lack data and digital insights needed to assess, troubleshoot, and determine work scope for the large industrial assets in performing corrective and preventative maintenance activities. QA engineers many times need to understand why a particular problem in the part is happening recurrently or why parts from suppliers don’t stack up well in the assemblies due to mismatch. The root cause is usually hidden in design, manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics or production planning. But without the right data and digital insights, it's hard to pinpoint. GOAL To collect information in the design, manufacturing, service, supply-chain setup and provide access to and intelligent analytics for industrial manufacturing and performance data, to identify the root cause easier. Such insights can improve not only service and owner/operator productivity, but also provide critical feedback to the design engineering and manufacturing operations teams for continuous improvement.

Volvo Group Delivers Digital Thread Through Lens of Augmented Reality
In today’s rapidly changing market, customization has become the new normal. This presents new quality assurance challenges as product complexity and unique configurations increase in volume and rate of change.Volvo’s engines are very sophisticated with 4,500 different engine information variants for just one plant and for 13,000 variants for the full plant for referencing.Training new operators on the complex inspection procedures takes five weeks, which adds to the overall cost of quality.

SRC Inc.'s Transition to Full-Scale Manufacturing with Aras Innovator
SRC Inc., a not-for-profit research and development company, faced a significant challenge when transitioning from small-run R&D projects to full-scale manufacturing for large volume contracts. The company needed a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution that would allow them to scale and provide the flexibility to continuously innovate and build new solutions. The challenge was further complicated by the company's decision to develop a Windows-based client to improve performance and to stick with their fully custom version, which had served them well for a long time. However, this decision led to them being isolated from the improvements and enhancements coming out from Aras, the PLM solution provider. SRC Inc. had to make a decision about the best way to move forward, considering the many customizations they had made and the cost of replacing Aras Innovator with multiple systems.

IoT-Driven Data Optimization: A Case Study on Service Thread
Service Thread, a leading American manufacturer of commercial thread and yarn, faced significant challenges in monitoring and analyzing their factory performance. With over 3,000 spindles across 115,000ft2 of floor space and 24 different machine types, the company struggled to effectively determine the actual utilization percentage of their factory. The traditional method of frequent and selective in-person inspections of the machines was not only time-consuming but also lacked accuracy. The company was in dire need of a solution that could provide real-time, accurate data on machine utilization to help them make informed business decisions and optimize their operations.

Glyphic Biotechnologies, Inc. Streamlines Meeting Action Items with Fireflies
Glyphic Biotechnologies, Inc., a biotechnology startup revolutionizing the field of proteomics, was facing challenges in managing and documenting meeting action items. The traditional method of writing down action items during meetings was proving inefficient, as it was difficult to keep up with the speaker and easy to miss important information. Furthermore, the process of taking notes during meetings was distracting, reducing the team's presence and focus on the discussions. The team often found themselves interrupting the speaker to repeat information, extending the duration of meetings. Additionally, organizing and maintaining these notes for easy access and reference was a significant challenge, given the high number of meetings the team was having daily.
