Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) is a major player in the Indian Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market. Founded in 2001 in Mumbai, India, the company has a wide range of household and personal care products. GCPL has five manufacturing facilities and uses a widespread distribution network in both urban and rural markets made up of distributors, stockists, and substockists covering over 650,000 retailers across India. The company employs over 1,200 employees in India and has an international presence with offices in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, UK, and Africa. GCPL's product range includes soaps, toiletries, and liquid detergents.
The Solution
GCPL decided to deploy QlikView 11 business discovery software into its sales function for over 350 users. The organization intends to implement the solution across its supply chain and finance departments before rolling it to its other international locations around the world. The deployment of the QlikView solution took around three months to fully deploy and required no user training. The solution was very simple to set up, integrate, and customize.
