The Challenge
Tea Forté, a renowned American tea company, was grappling with an outdated ERP system and an integrator solution that was incapable of managing the intake of items with lot codes, a crucial aspect of their wholesale business. This led them to switch to NetSuite as their new ERP system in 2017. However, the transition posed a new challenge - the need for seamless data interchange between their third-party logistics providers (3PLs) or warehouses, and NetSuite. The company sought a solution that would ensure smooth integration with minimal issues.
About The Customer
Tea Forté Inc., headquartered in Concord, Massachusetts, is a distinguished American tea company. Founded in 2003 by Peter Hewitt, a product designer and graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design, the company is known for its highly stylized product line inspired by the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. The company's mission is to 'elevate a cup of tea into an extraordinary experience for all of your senses'. Acquired by Sara Lee in 2011, Tea Forté's products are now available in 35 countries worldwide.
The Solution
Tea Forté turned to Celigo, a recommendation from their NetSuite professional consultants. The solution enabled Tea Forté to send orders to their warehouses and 3PLs swiftly and effortlessly, a key factor in enhancing their operational efficiency. The solution also facilitated the transfer of orders between the main warehouse, Amazon warehouses, and smaller Tea Forté warehouses. Tea Forté's project manager, Nancy Birchard, collaborated with Celigo's developers to create a custom program for this purpose. The data flows created and tested proved to be highly reliable, with the customer experience team using them for ship confirmations on a daily basis.
