The Challenge
Tecnosulfur faced the challenge of manually controlling and distributing over 300 physical documents, as well as managing its Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, work instructions, and specifications for products and raw materials. Additionally, the control and processing of nonconformities were also done manually through paper forms. This manual process was time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to errors, leading to inefficiencies and potential nonconformities in audits.
About The Customer
Tecnosulfur, a Grupo SKW company, operates in the Iron & Steel industry and is a national leader in processing liquid metals. With 120 employees and operations in Brazil and Latin America, the company generated nearly BRL 96 million in revenues in 2015. Tecnosulfur is committed to maintaining high standards in quality management and operational efficiency, which led them to seek automation solutions to streamline their processes and improve overall performance.
The Solution
To address these challenges, Tecnosulfur implemented the SE Suite from SoftExpert, specifically the SE Action and SE Document modules. These modules provided computerized control of documents and nonconformity processes via the internet. Approximately 30 users across various departments, including Quality, Projects, Commercial, Procurement, Production, and Maintenance, routinely use these tools. SE Action optimizes the entire Action Plan lifecycle, from initial record to approval, enhancing team communication and collaboration through centralized control of planning, execution, and monitoring of tasks. SE Document manages the entire content lifecycle of documents, from creation to archiving or disposal, ensuring efficient document management and compliance.
