The Challenge
Luke Brock, the Operations Manager of The PressUp Group, faced significant challenges in managing employee schedules, approving timecards, and running payroll using outdated methods such as pen and paper, clunky machines, and multiple spreadsheets. These inefficiencies were time-consuming and prone to errors, making it difficult to manage the workforce effectively. The existing systems were not meeting the needs of the PressUp Group, which operates 26 businesses across various sectors including hotels, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. The need for a more efficient and streamlined solution was evident to improve operational efficiency and reduce labor costs.
About The Customer
The PressUp Group is Ireland's leading leisure and hospitality company, with interests in various sectors such as hotels, bars, restaurants, venues, and nightclubs. The Group owns and operates 26 businesses, providing employment for over 1,000 people. Their locations include popular spots like Bison Bar, The Liquor Rooms, The Workmans Club, Everleigh Gardens, The Garage Bar, The Clarence & The Dean Hotels, and Union Café. With a diverse portfolio and a large workforce, the PressUp Group needed an efficient system to manage their operations and employee-related tasks. Bizimply was implemented in 15 of their locations, including bars, restaurants, and hotels, to streamline their processes and improve overall efficiency.
The Solution
After researching various solutions, The PressUp Group decided to trial Bizimply, a software designed to streamline employee scheduling, timecard approval, and payroll management. Bizimply was chosen for its ability to address the specific challenges faced by the Group, such as reducing labor costs and improving operational efficiency. The software was implemented in 15 locations, including bars, restaurants, and hotels, with over 650 employees registered. The implementation of Bizimply allowed The PressUp Group to automate and simplify their scheduling and payroll processes, leading to significant time savings and reduced errors. Additionally, Bizimply provided added benefits when opening new venues, as seen with Angelina's restaurant in Dublin, where the software was used from the start to ensure smooth operations.
