The challenge was to simplify this process and make product research an easy and enjoyable activity. BFore, co-founded by Abhinav Sharma, aimed to replace the traditional product research journey with a personalized conversational experience.

The company has developed an app that provides personalized, easy-to-consume research insights to users, helping them make informed buying decisions. BFore's target customers are individuals who are looking to purchase high-value products such as electronics and automobiles and want to reduce the time and effort spent on product research.
The Solution
BFore developed a high-engagement conversation interface that responds to a user’s input by delivering recommendations for products and nearby stores via chatbots. These chatbots help users articulate their needs in a simple yet personalized way. The personalized product recommendations provided by the chatbots can significantly shorten the product research journey from two weeks to under five minutes. BFore was built on Bubble, a no-code visual web editor, which allowed the product managers to work directly with the technology. This enabled them to learn from user interactions and make changes quickly, thereby improving the user experience and reducing the time to market.

This is what and has driven them to make their projectors IoT-enabled. More specifically, Panasonic has developed a system that collects data from projectors, visualizes detailed operational statuses, and predicts issues and address them before failure occurs. Their projectors are embedded with a variety of sensors that measure power supply, voltage, video input/ output signals, intake/exhaust air temperatures, cooling fan operations, and light bulb operating time. These sensors have been used to make the projector more intelligent, automatically suspending operation when the temperature rises excessively, and automatically switching light bulbs. Although this was a great first step, Panasonic projectors were still not equipped with any capability to send the data over a network.
