Delivering Technical and Financial Value to Cloud Consumption: A Strategic Blue and NTT DATA Partnership
Strategic Blue, a cloud financial services company, was facing a challenge in helping its customers understand and optimize their cloud services consumption. With the rapid growth of the hyperscale market and the continuous introduction of new products and enhanced features, cloud buyers found it increasingly difficult to understand the most appropriate services for their business. This was especially challenging as they now required specialized skills to maintain and manage the systems and also to understand the best ways to financially optimize the services being consumed. Strategic Blue, while having a strong understanding of the financial aspects of cloud consumption, needed a partner that could provide technical expertise at scale.

Revving Up the Racing Fan Experience with IoT: A Case Study on INDYCAR Mobile App
INDYCAR, a premier motorsport entity, was seeking ways to enhance the fan experience beyond the traditional means. The organization wanted to leverage technology to provide real-time race data, media-rich features, and immersive experiences to its growing fan base. The challenge was to develop a fully functional mobile application that could handle the vast amount of data generated during races, provide real-time updates, and engage fans in a meaningful way. The app needed to be ready for worldwide downloads before the start of the 2019 race season. Furthermore, the app had to be scalable, capable of supporting over 100,000 concurrent users, and offer enhanced features such as real-time telemetry, live leader board, and track map. The development timeline was tight, with only six months to the first race of the season.

Digital Transformation: Arcosa's Successful Spin-off with NTT DATA
As part of a divestiture agreement with Trinity Industries, Arcosa, a leading provider of infrastructure-related products and solutions, was faced with the challenge of separating its key applications and data while deploying a new infrastructure within a tight deadline. The separation process was critical to avoid strategic distractions, talent departures, and potential changes in shareholder reaction. The divestiture agreement required Arcosa to separate its data, finances, and operational information systems from Trinity with minimal business disruption during the transition. Arcosa entered into a Transition Service Agreement (TSA) with Trinity, stipulating payment to Trinity for ongoing IT services until Arcosa could prove full independence. The task was headed by Arcosa’s CIO, Bob Rosen, who had to stand up all the underlying infrastructure from scratch, a daunting challenge given the aggressive timeframe and ongoing TSA fees.
