挑战
Attenti, a company that offers electronic monitoring solutions for parolees, wanted to improve its technology to better track offender behavior. They aimed to assign compliance scores to each offender to determine whether they are improving or worsening over time. However, Attenti faced the challenge of not being an analytics company and did not want to create a homegrown software platform from scratch. They needed an analytics platform with strong data visualization capabilities that could handle the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data.
关于客户
Attenti is a company that offers electronic monitoring solutions that enable corrections officers to track parolee behavior. With more than 20 years of experience and 56 registered patents, Attenti helps agencies in more than 30 countries monitor more than 200,000 individuals per year. The company's Supervised Release solution improves offender compliance, promotes rehabilitation of offenders back into the community, and enables inmates to participate in work-release and other temporary-release programs.
解决方案
Attenti partnered with Information Builders to create an analytics product offering. They used the WebFOCUS business intelligence (BI) and analytics platform to give parole officers more information to rehabilitate offenders. Interactive charts display parolee behavior and status based on one-minute data points, and digital maps reveal each parolee’s location based on the GPS data. WebFOCUS dashboards present an overview of each parolee and offender, allowing parole officers to track and analyze metrics from several categories. WebFOCUS also analyzes all the data associated with parolees to calculate their behavioral compliance scores. Attenti plans to introduce additional metrics to improve the accuracy and depth of parolee profiles.

Smart City Public Safety
Amyx+ worked with a local government authority to develop an Internet of Things-enabled public safety strategy. In the current state, vigilance meant manually scanning through potentially hundreds of analog surveillance videos feeds. Manual, costly and ineffective, the local agency desired to transition from analog to digital CCTV, apply computer vision and other technologies to automatically detect potential crime in progress, expedite and streamline emergency calls and integrate with personal wearables to ensure the safety of their citizens.
