挑战
Kateeva, a rapidly growing start-up in the OLED display manufacturing industry, faced significant challenges in managing their complex manufacturing processes. Initially, they relied on manual, paper-based systems for inventory management, which were time-consuming and inefficient. The lack of an integrated inventory management system led to infrequent and inaccurate stock counts, causing a lag in data points and making it difficult to maintain control over inventory movement. As a result, Kateeva struggled to keep up with the industry's fast-paced advancements and needed a scalable solution to streamline their operations and improve inventory accuracy.
关于客户
Kateeva is a pioneering company in the OLED display manufacturing industry, known for its innovative use of inkjet technology to produce high-quality digital screens. As an OEM capital equipment designer, innovator, and manufacturer, Kateeva focuses on creating products that offer attractive features to consumers while reducing the cost of ownership for display manufacturers. Over the past two years, Kateeva has experienced tremendous growth, necessitating the implementation of robust systems to manage their intricate manufacturing processes. Despite being a start-up, Kateeva has quickly established itself as a key player in the industry, continually pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation.
解决方案
To address their challenges, Kateeva implemented NetSuite as their organizational backbone and integrated RF-SMART for advanced barcoding functionality. This combination provided the necessary structure and scalability to manage their complex systems and massive material handling requirements. RF-SMART's mobile stock counts enabled Kateeva to conduct inventory counts more efficiently, doubling the inventory counted in half the time. The integration with NetSuite eliminated the need for manual inventory reconciliations, significantly improving productivity. Additionally, RF-SMART's Work Order Assembly, Picking, WIP, and Bin Transfer functionalities allowed Kateeva to maintain high levels of fiscal accuracy and adapt to industry changes. The on-site support and training provided by RF-SMART during the implementation phase were invaluable, helping Kateeva optimize their warehouse setup and resolve any issues quickly. This hands-on approach ensured a smooth transition and empowered the warehouse team to take ownership of the new processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.

Remote Temperature Monitoring of Perishable Goods Saves Money
RMONI was facing temperature monitoring challenges in a cold chain business. A cold chain must be established and maintained to ensure goods have been properly refrigerated during every step of the process, making temperature monitoring a critical business function. Manual registration practice can be very costly, labor intensive and prone to mistakes.

Leveraging the IoT to Gain a Competitive Edge in International Competition
Many large manufacturers in and outside Japan are competing for larger market share in the same space, expecting a growing demand for projectors in the areas of entertainment, which requires glamor and strong visual performance as well as digital signage that can attract people’s attention. “It is becoming more and more difficult to differentiate ourselves with stand-alone hardware products,” says Kazuyuki Kitagawa, Director of Service & Support at Panasonic AVC Networks. “In order for Panasonic to grow market share and overall business, it is essential for us to develop solutions that deliver significant added value.” Panasonic believes projection failure and quality deterioration should never happen. This is what and has driven them to make their projectors IoT-enabled. More specifically, Panasonic has developed a system that collects data from projectors, visualizes detailed operational statuses, and predicts issues and address them before failure occurs. Their projectors are embedded with a variety of sensors that measure power supply, voltage, video input/ output signals, intake/exhaust air temperatures, cooling fan operations, and light bulb operating time. These sensors have been used to make the projector more intelligent, automatically suspending operation when the temperature rises excessively, and automatically switching light bulbs. Although this was a great first step, Panasonic projectors were still not equipped with any capability to send the data over a network.
