Meilleurtaux, a leading mortgage loan financing broker in France, was facing challenges in managing its rapid growth and gaining insights into client profiles, loan files, and scoring to identify the right business to undertake. The company was working with more than 80 reports, created in Excel, each requiring access to 2 million records stored in an Oracle database. This overloaded the database and indicated that new investments in servers would have to be made. In addition, the creation and maintenance of these reports required the work of 10 IT department employees, who were spending a great deal of their time building up the reports and were also confronted with major issues of inconsistency. The implementation of a more adequate and scalable platform solution was becoming crucial.

It acts as an intermediary and, for each contracted loan, gets a commission paid by the banking institution. Initially available exclusively online, Meilleurtaux started building a network of agencies in France about 3 years ago. It is the only company in its field offering two integrated and complementary distribution networks, contributing to the company’s development and reputation.

Meilleurtaux deployed QlikView to roughly 10 management team leaders in less than 1 week. With QlikView, Meilleurtaux can now analyze business activity across multiple lines of business and monitor the processing status of its client loan files and associated scoring. With QlikView Server, Meilleurtaux easily consolidated and handled the large data volume of 2 million records across 2 Oracle databases. Within a month, QlikView had become an indispensable tool for the various management teams at Meilleurtaux. The company, Ysance, was retained as the systems integrator. It was responsible for deploying the QlikView platform and initial development of the main management charts and graphs. Technically, the challenge was to consolidate and convert transaction data from two different operational systems, in order to implement a system that would facilitate decision-making.
