挑战
Plus Relocation Services, a company that provides domestic and international relocation services, was losing business due to its reporting shortfalls. The company lost three major contracts, which represented more than $2 million in lost revenue. The prospective clients informed Plus Relocation that the company’s reporting shortfalls were the primary reason for their decisions to select other vendors. Plus Relocation’s former customer-facing information systems lacked usability and sizzle. The company needed a business intelligence solution powerful enough to revamp the company’s information systems and flexible enough to create easy-to-use dashboards for internal and external users.
关于客户
Plus Relocation, Inc. is a company that provides domestic and international relocation services. For nearly 40 years, the company has helped move corporations and their employees down the block or around the world when relocation becomes necessary. The staff is committed to pleasing its clients on a daily basis, and in an industry where speed and efficiency rule, Plus Relocation has made a name for itself by tailoring its services to each client’s specific needs. As a small company from the midwestern United States, Plus Relocation was confident that a strong business intelligence platform could improve its ability to attract customers and boost international relocation capabilities.
解决方案
Plus Relocation decided to use BI and data visualization technology to build customer-facing dashboards with drill-down capabilities and visual representations of data. The company chose WebFOCUS due to its proven success in Web-based reporting and performance management, coupled with the extensive functionality of its data visualization software. The team rolled out a new customer dashboard in January 2008 called InformAgility. Information Builders Professional Services helped with the first iteration of the dashboard to accommodate a tight timeframe. Plus Relocation also purchased an Information Builders Education Passport, giving their personnel unlimited access to local training from Information Builders’ Education department. The development team used WebFOCUS FLEX Enable to add reports, graphs, and other visual representations of the data, including graphical drill-downs that let users filter and manipulate information according to their needs.

Flex Contact Center: Supporting rapid business growth with IBM Connections Cloud and IBM Verse
Flex Contact Center, a professional services company offering telesales, call-center, anti-attrition, back-office, helpdesk and collection services, has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2009. With operations in 12 sites across two states and four cities in Brazil, the company employs more than 11,000 people. However, the company realized that to prevent barriers to future expansion, it was essential to make it as easy as possible for its people to work together effectively—even if they were based in separate geographical locations. Traditional approaches to collaboration—based on email and phone calls—threatened to reduce productivity. Flex Contact Center wanted to enable better collaboration and communication across its workforce, but did not want to make large investments in infrastructure.

PureFluent: Connecting to partners and customers through the cloud for enhanced productivity
PureFluent, a translation services company, was facing challenges in managing its translation and document review processes. The company often received files in uneditable formats from customers, which required staff members to transfer text to word processing or spreadsheet documents. During the translation process, maintaining version control was a challenge because PureFluent sent work to hundreds of translators in multiple geographic locations. It was also time-consuming for staff to manage the large volume of emails and FTP transactions required to submit translations for customer review and ensure the integration of requested changes. Furthermore, staff were spending significant time hunting through their emails for specific attachments.
