The Challenge
Arvig, a Minnesota-based telecommunications provider, sought to expand its managed IT services portfolio to include business continuity and disaster recovery (BDR) support for its clients. The company recognized the growing demand for robust IT solutions that could ensure data protection and operational continuity for businesses. However, Arvig faced challenges in finding a comprehensive and easy-to-manage platform that could meet these needs while also allowing them to maintain strong customer relationships and support a growing client base.
About The Customer
Established in 1950, Arvig is a Minnesota-based provider of telecommunications, broadband, and security services to homes and businesses. Over the years, the company has grown from a small family-owned business into one of the largest independent telecommunications and broadband providers in the United States. Arvig serves a vast area of 9,000 square miles, covering regions from Moorhead to Rochester and Duluth to Marshall. The company has a history of being progressive risk-takers, continuously reinvesting in technology and network operations to drive growth and innovation. Recently, Arvig has expanded its service portfolio to include managed IT services, leveraging Continuum’s IT management platform to deliver backup and disaster recovery solutions to its customers.
The Solution
To address its challenges, Arvig partnered with Continuum in February 2015 and adopted Continuum’s Continuity247 platform, a fully-managed BDR solution. Continuity247 is designed to meet the needs of modern Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and offers features such as block-level backup, offsite replication, and full disaster recovery support. This platform is supported by Continuum’s Network Operations Center (NOC) staff, providing Arvig with the tools and personnel needed to manage and support their clients effectively. The partnership with Continuum allowed Arvig to offer a greater variety of solutions and support to their growing customer base, ensuring business continuity and peace of mind for their clients. The platform’s robust and in-depth capabilities, combined with ease of management, made it an ideal choice for Arvig’s needs.
