The client is an international company that offers smart telematics solutions for efficient fleet operation and management. They specialize in enterprise-level remote encryptor management solutions, enabling administrators to visualize and manage devices, including their health, status, and connectivity. The client was seeking to improve their fleet management processes and develop a new solution that would help them expand their customer base. They were particularly interested in achieving certification in Canada and establishing new partnerships in the region.
The N-iX team, chosen as the R&D partner, conducted a thorough analysis to prove the feasibility of the solution. They helped the client build an OEM-based Linux connectivity gateway and an Android-based app. The gateway, installed in a vehicle, monitors and manages activities tracked by a GPS system. The data from each vehicle is transmitted to the owner and converted into useful information for monitoring, analysis, and future reference. The system provides access to important details such as vehicle speed, fuel consumption, and engine efficiency. The Android app developed for rugged tablets includes a management panel for the driver. The team also integrated the system with existing customer products and a Google Cloud-based IoT platform with a complex analytics engine.
