The Challenge
Jamkee Properties, a property management company based in St. Cloud, Minnesota, was founded in 2018 and has since grown to manage over 400 units across central Minnesota. The company's growth was driven by a gap in the market for high-quality property management services. However, as the company grew, it faced challenges with its existing property management software, Yardi. The software was difficult to use and limited in its capabilities, making it hard for the company to streamline processes and focus on growth. The owner reports were particularly time-consuming, requiring manual downloading and reworking in Excel to make them understandable for both the company and its clients. As the company continued to scale, this process became increasingly untenable.

Founded in 2018 by Wade Sorensen, the company has grown considerably and now manages over 400 units across central Minnesota. These units primarily consist of small multifamily apartment complexes and single-family homes. The company was born out of a need for better property management services in the St. Cloud rental market. Jamkee Properties prides itself on its high level of communication and personal touch, which has helped it gain and retain customers.
The Solution
Jamkee Properties decided to switch to AppFolio Property Manager, a more intuitive and user-friendly property management software. AppFolio's comprehensive and interactive reporting capabilities allowed Jamkee Properties to complete reports much faster and with more accuracy, helping them maintain visibility and retain customers. The software also made it easier for the company to train new employees, saving time and reducing mistakes. In addition, AppFolio's innovative features were used to market the business to potential clients, helping the company stand out from the competition. The software's online portal also provided a way for clients to easily access reports and track every penny spent, improving communication and transparency.
