The Challenge
Velo Residential, a property management company based in Dallas-Fort Worth Metro, was facing a significant challenge in managing its over 800 residential units. The company's CEO, JC Castillo, recognized the importance of creating strong, meaningful relationships for success in the property management business. However, the day-to-day tasks were consuming a lot of their time, leaving little room for focusing on building relationships with residents. Another major challenge was the lack of comprehensive leasing data. The company was unable to determine where their leads were coming from, which made it difficult to prioritize advertising channels. This lack of data was leading to unnecessary spending on ineffective advertising channels.
About The Customer
Velo Residential is a property management company based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area. The company was established in 2006 by JC Castillo, who also founded and manages the MultiFamily Property Group. Velo Residential manages over 800 residential units. The company was born out of Castillo's realization that he had created a more efficient way to operate while owning and managing his own portfolio. Castillo, a former semiconductor engineer, understands the power of purpose-built technology and believes in the importance of building strong, meaningful relationships for success in the property management business.
The Solution
Velo Residential turned to AppFolio Property Manager to address these challenges. AppFolio's powerful yet simple functionality allowed Velo's team to be more efficient in their day-to-day tasks, freeing up time to focus on building relationships with residents. AppFolio's AI Leasing Assistant, Lisa, provided comprehensive leasing data, including source data and traffic data. This data helped Velo Residential understand where their leads were coming from, enabling them to eliminate ineffective advertising channels and be more strategic with their marketing efforts. AppFolio's technology also automated the routing of maintenance calls to an offsite call center, reducing the workload of the on-site teams and making their lives less stressful.
