The Challenge
Ocean Blue Car Wash, a fast-growing enterprise in Arizona, faced the challenge of protecting itself against false claims of liability to its customers’ cars. With four locations and thousands of customers a day, the company experienced a variety of claims, including slip and fall incidents. The company needed a robust and reliable surveillance system that could provide clear and indisputable evidence in case of any disputes or claims. The system also needed to be standardized across all locations for consistency and ease of management.
About The Customer
Ocean Blue Car Wash is one of Arizona’s first Express Car Wash concepts. The owners have leveraged their 15 years of experience to create a new standard in car washing. The company is a fast-growing enterprise with plans to add another two locations by the end of 2020, making six locations in total. Each location serves thousands of customers a day, making it imperative for the company to have a robust and reliable surveillance system in place.
The Solution
Ocean Blue Car Wash standardized on the 3xLOGIC video surveillance system at each of its locations. Four Ocean Blue locations have each deployed, or will soon finish deploying, 3xLOGIC V7000 NVRs and 32 V-Series 4MP dome cameras. The high-resolution cameras provide multiple views inside each facility with six cameras recording at the start of the wash process, six during, and six as the car exits the dryers. An interesting add-on system feature is a 3rd-party software app that takes footage from the 3xLOGIC cameras to determine the spacing between the cars during the wash process. If two cars come too close to each other, the line shuts down automatically. The company is also looking to further upgrade its systems by implementing 3xLOGIC VIGIL Central Management (VCM), a health monitoring software that alerts either DC Pro or Ocean Blue to any malfunctions on the network before such developments create a problem.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).

Monitoring of Pressure Pumps in Automotive Industry
A large German/American producer of auto parts uses high-pressure pumps to deburr machined parts as a part of its production and quality check process. They decided to monitor these pumps to make sure they work properly and that they can see any indications leading to a potential failure before it affects their process.
