Fred Castagnac and Sean Kennedy, product marketing managers at Zapier, were facing challenges in managing large scale projects due to the lack of organization. As a completely remote company, Zapier's team works together across the globe, making organization essential. The team was struggling with scattered mission-critical documents across different apps and folders, making it hard to search and interpret information. The apps they were using did not offer the features they needed, making the organization process inefficient and time-consuming. They were in search of one app that could help them accomplish better organization.
Fred Castagnac and Sean Kennedy are product marketing managers at Zapier, a completely remote company with team members working together across the globe. They were struggling with the organization of large scale projects, with mission-critical documents scattered across different apps and folders. They were in search of a solution that could help them manage their projects more efficiently and effectively. They are innovative and open to trying new tools and technologies to improve their work processes and productivity.
The solution came in the form of Coda, a supercharged document app that combines documents with spreadsheets, and app-like user experiences, all in one app. Fred and Sean decided to implement it with their respective teams based on their current project-based needs. Fred used Coda for user and market research, while Sean used it to track ongoing product marketing initiatives. Fred was able to gather all the data she needed in one space, creating pie charts that everyone involved could easily read and interpret, leading to faster and smarter decision-making. Sean took his use of Coda one step further by integrating it with Zapier and adding automated workflows to his repertoire. He used Zapier to connect Jira to Coda, sending Jira updates directly into Coda, where functions and formulas took over to track different project statuses. Another Zap shared notes in Coda to a specific channel in Slack, keeping the marketing team up to date.
