The Soldiers Project, an organization providing free counseling to service members and their families, faced a significant challenge in managing their data across multiple platforms. The organization had to manually enter information from one platform to another, a process that was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors. This issue was particularly problematic during the training stage of their operations, where they had to register attendees across different platforms to keep the information accurate and synced. The tedious manual tasks were taking away valuable time that could have been used to expand their network and reach more soldiers.

The Soldiers Project is a non-profit organization founded by Judith Broder, a clinical psychiatrist, in 2010. The organization provides free counseling services to service members returning from war and their families. The team, which has grown from just Broder to more than a dozen members, offers mental health services to soldiers across seven states. To achieve their goal of helping soldiers, the team enlists and trains a network of clinicians. However, the organization faced challenges in managing their data across multiple platforms, particularly during the training stage of their operations.

To address this challenge, The Soldiers Project sought a solution that would allow their applications to communicate with each other. They needed a system that would enable Eventbrite, their event registration software, to send registrants to both AnyMeeting, their webinar software, and Salesforce, their customer database. The solution came in the form of Zapier, an app automation tool. With Zapier, new Eventbrite attendees are automatically registered for The Soldiers Project's AnyMeeting webinars. Furthermore, new AnyMeeting webinar registrations automatically become new opportunities in Salesforce. This automation eliminated the need for manual data entry across platforms, saving staff time and reducing the potential for errors.

• The implementation of Zapier as an app automation tool has significantly improved the operational efficiency of The Soldiers Project. The automation of data transfer between Eventbrite, AnyMeeting, and Salesforce has eliminated the need for manual data entry, freeing up staff time for more critical tasks. This has allowed the organization to focus more on expanding their network and reaching more soldiers. Furthermore, the automation has reduced the potential for errors in data entry, ensuring more accurate and reliable data across their platforms.
