The company needed to implement a central management system that would provide total network visibility. The challenge was not only to protect its own systems but also its customers’ networks. The company was in need of a solution that could offer effective security and total visibility with a single click.
About The Customer
PŸUR Business, operating under the brand HL komm Telekommunikations GmbH, part of German cable provider group Tele Columbus AG, is a B2B Internet service provider. The company delivers a variety of solutions for its B2B customers, including voice, cloud, media and data center services, Internet connectivity, managed Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephony, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), networking solutions and managed security. The company needed a robust security solution to protect both its own systems and its customers' networks.
The Solution
PŸUR Business implemented Check Point Quantum Security Gateway and Check Point R80 to address its security challenges. The company established a multi-domain managed security system that includes both its own environment and those of its customers using Check Point R80.30 SmartConsole. Since installing the multi-domain platform, 30 gateways have been added either as migrations of existing firewall solutions or new installations. In 2019, the company became the first Check Point customer worldwide with a Hosted SandBlast™ Service (HSS) Platform. This failsafe platform is hosted redundantly in PŸUR’s own data center and all Check Point devices send their files for monitoring in the Check Point SandBlast ™ Threat Emulation engine.
