Telefonica: Telefonica Smart MeteringThe UK Government is requiring energy companies to install 53 million gas and electricity meters at 30 million domestic and smaller non-domestic properties by 2020.Under the UK Government's Smart Metering Implementation Programme (SMIP), there was a need for a Communications Service Provider (CSP) to provide connectivity services and communication hubs to energy suppliers. Telefonica was chosn to be this CSP.Telefonica: Fleet Management Connectivity Solution for MarzamMarzam, in order to ensure the best service, invested 3 million dollars in the construction of 2 fuel oil tanks with 40k gallons and 10k gallons capacity each, located in Manta, Ecuador. The customer needs to keep fleet operations going with fuel available at all times in order to guarantee quality of service. KEY ELEMENTS FOR THE CUSTOMER: Real-time level monitoring: Tank infrastructure remote level monitoring. Configure alerts and notifications when reaching critical values to avoid the need for emergency refills and optimize supply schedules. Real-time consumption monitoring: The customer needed an easy way to monitor in real-time accurate values of consumption.Telefonica: Connectivity Platform for the Valencia City CouncilThe capital of the Valencia region wanted to bring together all of its services, allowing for the management of public resources through a single connectivity platform and enhancing areas such as transport, energy, efficiency and environmental services. Thus becoming the first Spanish city to centralise all of its municipal information through a smart city technological solution
