挑战
IMP Solutions needed to establish a reliable managed service provider (MSP) practice to serve the local small to midsized business market. They faced challenges in finding a trustworthy backup and disaster recovery (DR) vendor to ensure rapid recovery times and complete business continuity for their clients. The existing solutions used by their clients were either slow or incompatible with their infrastructure, leading to significant downtime and financial losses.
关于客户
IMP Solutions is a value-added reseller (VAR) based in Atlantic Canada, specializing in providing IT solutions to small to midsized businesses. They decided to transition into a managed service provider (MSP) to offer comprehensive managed IT services. Jeremy Agnew was hired as the Network Operations Center Manager to lead this new initiative. The company aimed to provide reliable, cost-effective, and efficient IT support to businesses in the region, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime.
解决方案
IMP Solutions partnered with Datto to provide robust backup and disaster recovery solutions. They implemented Datto SIRIS for an HVAC business, which had previously struggled with a competitor's slow disaster recovery product. The SIRIS solution was tested and installed successfully, providing rapid recovery and instilling confidence in the client. For an automotive industry client, IMP Solutions recommended the Datto SIRIS device after a significant SAN storage failure. The SIRIS device ensured uninterrupted business operations during subsequent failures by virtualizing critical servers. An educational institution also benefited from Datto's ALTO solution, which used image-based backup and a hybrid cloud model to maintain full operation during a server failure, preventing financial losses.

Integral Plant Maintenance
Mercedes-Benz and his partner GAZ chose Siemens to be its maintenance partner at a new engine plant in Yaroslavl, Russia. The new plant offers a capacity to manufacture diesel engines for the Russian market, for locally produced Sprinter Classic. In addition to engines for the local market, the Yaroslavl plant will also produce spare parts. Mercedes-Benz Russia and his partner needed a service partner in order to ensure the operation of these lines in a maintenance partnership arrangement. The challenges included coordinating the entire maintenance management operation, in particular inspections, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, and the optimizing spare parts management. Siemens developed a customized maintenance solution that includes all electronic and mechanical maintenance activities (Integral Plant Maintenance).

A large German/American producer of auto parts uses high-pressure pumps to deburr machined parts as a part of its production and quality check process. They decided to monitor these pumps to make sure they work properly and that they can see any indications leading to a potential failure before it affects their process.
