On January 1, 2013, the customs authorities at Frankfurt airport redefined the storage deposit location for the ATLAS AES Exit process. Deposits of goods were then allowed only within Frankfurt airport. The effect of this was that all carriers that had previously made their drop-offs for air freight export at nearby places outside the airport (such as Mörfelden, Kelsterbach, Raunheim, Rüsselsheim, and Flörsheim) had to come up with new logistics routes. Export processes and communication with customs were to be ensured round the clock.

Immediately after exporting the goods, the carriers receive the export confirmation from customs, which is especially important for time-critical dispatches. Within less than 14 days, the BluJay software was implemented at JAS Forwarding, and the company’s branches got a connection to Air Cargo Pool. JAS Forwarding chose to rely on Air Cargo Pool (ACP) and can now handle air freight processing trouble-free through a single data platform.

Remote Wellhead Monitoring
Each wellhead was equipped with various sensors and meters that needed to be monitored and controlled from a central HMI, often miles away from the assets in the field. Redundant solar and wind generators were installed at each wellhead to support the electrical needs of the pumpstations, temperature meters, cameras, and cellular modules.
