Vable, a UK-based content automation platform, was looking to expand its business beyond its niche market. The company's existing product was already serving its purpose within the legal sphere, but Vable wanted to reach a wider audience across various sectors including education, business, and healthcare. The challenge was to transform the idea of the existing on-premise product into a new cloud-based solution that would meet the needs of a broader audience. This required rethinking the business idea, designing a new software architecture, moving from a traditional backend monolith to microservices, and developing functionality that would meet customers’ expectations based on feedback from the users of the existing on-premise solution. Additionally, the team had to apply Amazon Web Services to develop cloud data services for the product and implement powerful search capabilities and advanced analytics of the content sent using Machine Learning, AI, and BI.
Vable is a UK-based content automation platform that helps companies manage information from various sources in one place and deliver the most relevant content to their audience. The company was looking to expand its reach beyond the legal sphere and serve a wider audience across various sectors. Vable needed a dedicated development team to build a new cloud-based solution that would cover a greater scope of business cases and serve a wider audience. The company aimed to leverage the latest technologies to build an innovative, scalable, and stable software product that would meet the needs of a broader audience.
Vable partnered with N-iX to develop a new cloud-based solution from scratch. The team designed a new software architecture based on microservices and used Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban for project delivery. The solution included a separate platform providing end-users with a simple and intuitive interface to search topics and read associated articles, the ability to create topics of single or multiple searches, several custom newsletter templates, a customizable newsletter template feature, and a dashboard that tracks newsletter opens, click-throughs, and other analytics. The platform was divided into three parts: an admin site for system administrators, a client admin site for content managers who send regular curated newsletters, and a portal for end-users where they can configure their personal newsletter and select the articles they want to receive. The platform was built using Angular 6 framework and leveraged Machine Learning and AI for advanced search capabilities. It was based on Alchemy API that uses machine learning to do natural language processing, enabling users to analyze text by extracting metadata from content.
