As a large-scale food processing company, Del Monte has a significant environmental footprint and has set sustainability goals to reduce its impact. However, the company was facing challenges in meeting these goals due to issues with data validation and reporting. The company was manually creating reports by exporting data to spreadsheets, a process that was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors.
The Solution
To address these challenges, Del Monte implemented Locus’ sustainability software. This cloud-based system was configurable, making it more relevant to Del Monte’s business and providing closer access to its environmental data. Locus helped Del Monte identify errors in its historical data, which were then corrected and migrated to Locus’ Resource Management Module (RMM). The RMM data validation steps and notifications were configured to fit Del Monte’s timelines and processes, ensuring data quality. Each user was given a customizable dashboard, allowing them to see important data and metrics immediately upon login and easily create standard reports. Users could also create graphs and tables across all sites within their business unit and compare these to corporate trends, making data more transparent within the company.
