The GDC operation had a lot of paper documents to manage, with manual signature approvals, which caused a number of deviations. In addition, maintenance requests were not centrally managed, which undermined the reliability of data.
About The Customer
Gomes da Costa (GDC) is the largest sardine packing company in Latin America. The company was founded in 1954 and, today, has a fish processing plant, a packaging plant and a distribution center.
The Solution
To overcome this challenge, GDC invested in the SoftExpert Suite Excellence solution for management excellence, process improvement and regulatory compliance, with more than 40 natively integrated modules that make up 12 corporate solutions. With the tool, the Company was able to automate processes and improve document management and its maintenance program. The tool also assists in maintaining their ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications. In addition, more than 1,400 action plans have already been implemented, and more than 2,200 activities have been carried out with the SoftExpert Excellence Suite solution.
