With a fleet of 13 buses and an average of 1,326 rides per week, the transportation provider plays a crucial role in the daily commute of many residents. The Solution
To address these challenges, Orange County Public Transportation implemented Ecolane's scheduling and dispatching software, which features real-time continuous optimization. This software solution includes Ecolane Touch Screen MDT hardware and software, a Pre and Post-Inspection module, and Ecolane Fixed Route software to meet rider needs. Additionally, the Advanced Ecolane Reporting System, along with an Ad-hoc reporting tool, was deployed to provide comprehensive reporting capabilities. A feedback module was also integrated to gather and act on customer feedback. The solution provided a complete web-based, automated scheduling and dispatching system that continuously optimizes schedules based on real-time conditions and driver performance.

To improve support for this rapidly expanding segment, 3M needed to automate its own data collection and reporting. For Fox and his team, these requirements meant turning to the cloud instead of an on-premises datacenter. “My first thought was to go directly to the cloud because we needed to provide access not only to our salespeople, but to resellers who didn’t have access to our internal network,” says Fox. “The cloud just seemed like a logical choice.”
